The DESY Commission for Ethics in Research currently consists of ten members from different disciplines. Chair of the Commission is Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ulrike Beisiegel (President (ret.), University of Göttingen).

The Ethics Commission consists of five members and an equal number of deputy members. At least one member should be a member of the Scientific Committee of DESY, at least one member should be a member of the Scientific Council, at least one member should not be employed by DESY and one member must be qualified as a judge.

The DESY Directorate has appointed the members of the Commission for a term of office from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025.
